The tips to get rid of dark spots! (Part 1)

It is all started 5 years ago, he is my first Melasma patient. I knew him another 5 years ago and at that time I am not yet a Chinese Medicine physician. He is a friend of mine. He is rich and very successful entrepreneur, he inspired me and motivated me for stepping into the world of Chinese Medicine. At first he didn't know I had been working quite hard to study Chinese Medicine in a local college, and when I graduated, I meet up with him after so many years, I tell him I am realizing my dream now. The formation of skin pigmentation & solution

The Sun and Your Skin

Many doctors tell you that sun exposure can cause the over production of Melanin, as a result of that you will get a darker skin tone and develop dark spots. For such a statement, I only agreed if a women stay under hot sun for more than 4 hours a day, at least more than 2 months. But even if you full fill such a condition, it is not necessary for all women to develop skin pigmentation. It is true that most people can get darker skin tone for the over expose on UV light from sun.



UVB caused Sun burn, but UVA can penetrate to Dermis skin layer and damage the skin structure, caused  wrinkles.  
To get rid of dark spots, you must understand one of the enemy of pigmentation --  UV rays.

It seem like the UV light can make the production of Melanin become very active that can cause the overall skin color become darker, but we still have a doubt here, there are many women who try to avoid the sun, but still become the victim of skin pigmentation. We all know excessive sun light can cause sunburn, skin damage, skin cancer (the most common form of cancer), cataracts and heat stroke.


In Asia countries, many people know the importance of sunscreen, but when come to a decision of purchasing desirable sunscreen product, people tend to forget about UVA protection, and putting more focus on UVB protection. You must know, the UVA rays activate Tyrosinase which will become a catalysis for Tyrosine to produce Melanin that caused skin become darker, develop pigmentation or aging.

Resting Time and You Skin

It's very simple, If you are sleeping late or not having enough sleep, the next day when you look at the mirror, you will see a terrible face! For those who already had skin pigmentation, you will noticed those dark patches become even darker if you don't have adequate sleep.


Let me tell you, the biological clock of your skin starting to work from 12 mid night until the next day 5 am, this is the time where more blood and Qi (energy) flow to your skin through the Meridian channels. The blood and Qi help to repair and metabolite waste products from your skin cells. If you miss 1 or 2 nights of good sleep, your skin has no choice but to delay their task. And if you think it is OK to skip 2 to 3 nights of sleep, your skin will punish you with dark circles, wrinkles, rough skin and dark spots.

The reason is very easy to understand. Lack of resting time caused hormone imbalance. Hormone imbalance will stimulate 
Melanocytes (cell that produces Melanin) that create Melasma or Chloasma.
