Here come a breaking new! Alex was invited to an English women talk show called Bella on NTV 7, a Malaysia TV station. The Bella show covers various topics from women issues, lifestyle, fashion to family, relationship and etc. I guess this is the first time they invite an Acupuncturist on their talk show.
Before the show, the co-producer contacted Alex and told me about the episode 81 of Bella will talk about 2 topics, first block on "Acupuncture & Pregnancy" and second block on "Cosmetic Acupuncture & eyes". And after the interview, The host would like me to do a demo on a model that show cosmetic acupuncture on eyes area.
On 29th April 2013 (Monday), 11 am, Alex had created a historical moment in Malaysia Chinese Medicine industries , because this is a rare opportunity for an Acupuncturist to be interviewed on TV station. For many years of blood, sweat and tears, Alex never think of one day I will be interviewed on TV station.
Thank God for the best and unforgettable moment in my life, the whole theme on the Bella show is like custom designed just for me. My role is to share all my knowledge with the audiences from every corner of Malaysia, I want to tell them how to stay healthy and stay beautiful. Fame and fortune are not the things that come across to my mind, what I really enjoy doing is to help more people to achieve a quality life through Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.
I want to say thank you to my parents for trusting me, now they feel so proud of me. Besides that, I want to express my gratitude to all my lecturers and classmates from Kuala Lumpur Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, without them I am no one. I had seen many cases of Melasma, Freckles, Age spots, Uneven skin tone, Dark spots and Brown patches in these years. It is a good opportunity for me to share with you the stages of how skin pigmentation gradually disappear during our Chinese herbs treatment. Lymph node tuberculosis - A Chronic suppurative disease that Chinese Medicine physician believed this is caused by imbalance emotion, such as too much worries, bad temper and depression that make the energy stagnant, affecting the function of spleen and stomach that couldn't metabolite the dampness in the human body and it slowly develop nodes around the neck. For a longer time it stayed, those nodes absorb more toxic from the body and when the patient eats fried or hot & spicy foods, or experienced imbalance emotions, the suppurative process of Lymph nodes will occur. When the nodes ulcerated, the pus could drip unstoppable, patient will feel an slight increase of body temperature, loss of appetites, lack of energy, dizziness, stomach bloating etc.

On September & October 2012, I had been invited to West Zone (Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya) of Evangel Christian Asembly to conduct Chinese Medicine Wellness Talk. There will be 4 training sessions that emphasized on:
1. How to perform acupressure for improving general health.
2. How to find out your body type through Chinese Medicine system.
3. How to select the right food for your body type.
4. How to prepare simple Chinese herbal tea / soup for weight lose, better energy level, good skin and prevent flu.
5. How to select the right exercise to suit your body type.
6. Learn the ear reflexology for activate your inner organs.
The whole series of talks will take up 4 sessions only. Every Thursday night we will learn one chapter and half of the time is to allow the audiences to ask questions and there will be a lot of demo and sharing session goes on. We are happy to attract 20-30 persons to join the class, many people don't believe this is a community service and it is totally FREE. Some people miss up the chance to learn new things. What a pity.... May be next time we should reach out to the public more.
The audiences are really curious about the Meridian system in Chinese Medicine. In order for them to learn some of the important acupressure points, I have to tell them ancient stories about how the Chinese discovered the Meridian system in human body.
One of the night, many were late because of the heavy rain. It is not easy for working people to rush all the way to attend our talk every Thursday night. In have to give those who attend my class a big clap!

This is a big challenge for me. Believe me it is not easy to prepare the PowerPoint presentation slides and also the notes for students. In term of selecting the message and info for the talk, many efforts and times had been invested. Now I realized a good lecture always come with a solid preparation.
I will need to go down from the stage and helping them to find the actual location of Acupressure point. There are many books in the market that teach you the knowledge of acupressure but it is better to ask a Chinese Medicine physician or acupuncturist about the location of the point. It make a lot of difficult when you can not get the right point. I remembered the first time I learn about this 7 years old, and I am so lucky that I have a great acupuncture master to teach me.
Searching for the "He Gu" point (Large intestine meridian Number 14), the effective acupressure method I am sharing is the Japanese press and release technique that come with an exhale 3 seconds when pressing and inhale 3 seconds while releasing.
And I also teach them the miracle point for balancing the hormones -- San Yin Jiao (Spleen Meridian number 6). Women love this acupressure point because it can regulate menstrual cycle and help to reduce body weight.
I demo the method of how to increase Basal Metabolic Rate by a special acupressure technique that can immediately create the effect of rapid fat burning effect.

I am really happy to be able to provide my little help to the community. There are many people still don't know how to achieve a good health by Chinese Medicine way. It is sad to see people end up to spending too much on unnecessary supplement or being cheated on certain therapy which doesn't heal the body. I hope there are more Chinese Medicine practitioners can step forward and share they knowledge to the public. As we educate the public about Chinese Medicine concept for well-being, we are actually helping them to have more awareness on the little sign of sicknesses in their daily life.
