The making of Herbal Night Gel
When I decided to put in efforts in treating skin pigmentation, I started on develop herbal supplements that custom made to suit my patients body type and lifestyle. After a while, I learnt to create a series of herbal mask from a China lecturer who now doing a lot of Chinese Medicine cosmetic lecture and teaching in Taiwan. I am happy for able to learn so much from her, her way of designing herbal mask is really inspiring!
After 1 year of observing the progress of my patients, I keep thinking if is good I can develop a herbal gel that can further enhance the pigment healing process. Because of such a decision, I noticed it is not easy to contact a local Bio science company who supply the 100% bee wax. Not only because of the quantity but also the price. I remembered the sale representative didn't want to visit me or pick up my calls, obviously they did not want to waste time on a small client like me.
Because this Bio Science company supply really good bee wax that manufactured in United State, I really want the good no matter how bad is their service to me. As I know I might not able to meet the minimum order requirement, I quickly logged into my face book, and ask Malaysia Chinese Medicine Physician group if they need the bee wax, the response was really good and everyone seem to agreed with me for buying the best bee wax is always the right choice that we can create high quality therapeutic skin products, as a result I had gathered enough order!
After "yelling" a few times to the sale representative, he promised to send the bee wax to my office, but only his worker appear. Seriously, I don't really mind it too much, because it is not the first time I being look down by suppliers. In Malaysia, you can not expect suppliers to give you a good customer service, some look down at small operated company like us, because they only like to spend more time on big clients, but when their products price increased, they will be very hard working to call you up and sending e-mail to notify you. Yes, it is irritating, but that's part of life.
Misuse of herb in the market
" Excuse me, what I want is Typhonium Giganteum, what you show me is not Typhonium Giganteum." I told the Chinese herbal shopkeeper. He replied, "Yes, this is Typhonium Giganteum. I had been selling herbs for 30 years, I can't be making mistake!" The above conservation repeated at least 3 to 4 times.After carry out discussion at Malaysia Chinese Medicine Physician group in face book, more than 400 Chinese Medicine Physicians weren't sure if I purchased the right herb, but luckily there are 5 Chinese Medicine physician immediately point out I got the wrong herbs, they even provide me the guideline of identification of herbs that provided by the Ministry of Health from Taiwan. It is a very serious case that happened in Hong Kong a few years ago, the miss labelled Typhonium Giganteum and Aconitum Carmichaeli Debx. can be life threatening!
